Free Crochet Pattern for Baby Booties – Moccasins

Cute baby booties are a great style for a baby boy.

Finished Size: 6 month.

Yarn: Sport weight yarn in 2 colors.

Hook: E/4 (3.5 mm).

Notions: Yarn needle, 4 buttons.

Notes: The bootie is worked form the sole up in rounds.

Pattern Instructions

Sole

Ch 14

Rnd 1: Dc in 3^rd ch from hook, dc in each ch to last, 5 dc in last ch, working on the opposite side of the foundation ch, dc in next 10 dc, 3 dc in next ch, sl st in top of ch-2 – 30 sts.

Rnd 2: Ch 2, 2 dc in next st, dc in next 10 sts, 2 dc in next st, dc in next st, 3 dc in next st, dc in next st, 2 dc in next st, dc in next 10 sts, 2 dc in next st, dc in next st, 3 dc in next st, sl st in top of ch-2 – 38 sts.

Rnd 3: Ch 2, 2 dc in next st, dc in next 12 sts, (2 dc in next st, dc in next st) 4 times, dc in next 10 sts, (dc in next st, 2 dc in next st) 3 times, sl st in top of ch-2 – 46 sts.

Upper

Rnd 1: Ch 1, sc in each st around, sl st in ch-1.

Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in next 10 sts, hdc in next 22 sts, sc in remaining 13 sts, sl st in ch-1.

Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in next 10 sts, hdc in next st, 10 hdc2tog, hdc in next st, sc in rem sts, sl st in ch-1 – 36 sts.

Rnd 4: Ch 1 loosely, hdc in next 3 sts, sc in next 6 sts, hdc in next st, 6 hdc2tog, hdc in next st, sc in next 7 sts, hdc in next 5 sts, sl st in ch-1 – 30 sts.

Rnd 5: Ch 1, sc in each st around.

Fasten off.

Tong

Ch 9

Rnd 1: Sc in 2^nd ch from hook and each ch across to last, 3 sc in last ch, working on opposite side of the foundation ch, sc in next 7 sts, sl st in ch-1 – 18 sts.

Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in next 8 sts, 3 sc in next st, sc in next 8 sts, 2 sc in next st, sl st in ch-1 – 22 sts.

Rnd 3: Join CC in last sc, ch 1, 2 sc in next st, sc in next 8 sts, 2 sc in next st, sc in next st, 2 sc in next st, sc in next 8 sts, 2 sc in next st, sl st in ch-1 – 26 sts.

Fasten off, leaving 5″ tail in MC.

Finishing

With yarn needle and yarn tail, attach tong to the top of the bootie and sew on buttons.
